penne pasta with broccoli

Recipe compliments of Kathy LaBella

Ingredients:
  • 1 box penne pasta
  • 1/4 cup margarine
  • 1/4 cup flour
  • 2 cups milk
  • 1/2 cup parmesan cheese
  • 1/2 cup swiss cheese
  • 1/2 tablespoon salt
  • 1/2 tablespoon garlic powder
  • 3 cups cooked broccoli

    Prepare:
  • cook pasta and drain
  • melt margarine; stir in flour; add milk, stirring constantly until mixture thickens
  • stir in 1/8 teaspoon of thyme
  • stir in 1/8 teaspoon of nutmeg
  • add salt, garlic powder, pour over pasta, sprinkle both cheeses on top
  • bake @ 375 degrees for 15 minutes (mine took a little longer)

    Serve with a nice loaf and enjoy!
